1,966 miles later and I did it, I experienced the IF:Gathering. Together with 2,500 women “live” in Austin and thousands of others across the globe via simulcast, we wrestled with the question: “If God is REAL, then what?” Meaning do we really believe God, and why is it hard to believe Him, and HOW do we believe Him? And after wrestling with that, what do we do about it. I don’t know about you, but I was never good at wrestling. It can be grueling and exhausting, but the cool part about wrestling with God is that He doesn’t want us to wrestle alone. And I got to wrestle with such a great group of ladies. We not only wrestled, but cried, laughed, and cried some more. And someone might have even peed in their pants, but they will remain nameless. I am grateful to each of them for sharing their hearts and lives with me this weekend! But above all I am so grateful to Jesus for the way HE showed up this weekend at the IF:Gathering and the way He spoke into my life. Oh friends, it’s not IF God is real, HE IS REAL. And He is SO worth believing! So I beg you to do some of your own wrestling. To wrestle with that question “IF God is real, then what?” The answer may surprise you.
PS – Just so you know these images were not all taken by yours truly, and they definitely WERE taken with iPhones, because sometimes even my camera needs a vacation.
